{"id":236,"date":"2026-07-13T14:35:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T14:35:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/output.suba-agency.com\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=236"},"modified":"2026-08-28T08:14:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T08:14:23","slug":"building-on-praca-da-armada","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/outputengenharia.pt\/en\/projeto\/edificio-da-praca-da-armada\/","title":{"rendered":"Pra\u00e7a da Armada Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project is based on a reinterpretation of a small-scale building that nonetheless has a strong urban presence in Pra\u00e7a da Armada, in Alc\u00e2ntara, Lisbon.<br \/>\nStraddling memory and transformation, the project seeks to restore continuity to the built environment by reconfiguring the seven units into six residential units and one commercial space.<\/p>\n<p>The restoration of the facades and stairwell conveys a sense of permanence. At the same time, the structural reinforcement of the building\u2014designed to mitigate and stabilize its gradual subsidence\u2014restores its stability without erasing the marks of time.<\/p>\n<p>With the aim of creating two living spaces on the third floor, the roof was reconfigured while preserving the existing mansard roofs, thereby restoring the Pombaline style.
